Product Description

Configured for mechanical pressure monitoring and discrete alarm or shutdown actuation, the United Electric Controls H100-193 (H100 Pressure Switch) provides direct electromechanical switching through an adjustable pressure-sensing mechanism. Process pressure acts on the welded sensing assembly, and the internal mechanism transfers the pressure change to a SPDT snap-action switch without requiring PLC, DCS, or external signal processing.

Mechanical Switching and Process Interface Characteristics

The H100-193 operates through a direct mechanical pressure-to-switching path rather than PLC backplane communication or network-based control. Pressure applied through the 1/2 in NPT process connection acts on the welded 316 stainless steel sensing components. When the configured pressure setpoint is reached, the internal mechanism changes the state of the SPDT snap-action contact.

The switch can therefore provide a discrete electrical signal for alarm circuits, interlocks, shutdown circuits, motor control interfaces, or other hardwired industrial control functions. The fixed deadband defines the pressure difference between switch actuation and reset.

Because the device is an independent electromechanical pressure switch, it does not require EtherNet/IP, Profinet, backplane bus communication, firmware flash compatibility, or I/O density configuration.

Mount the enclosure where the electrical conduit and process connection do not apply excessive mechanical stress to the housing. Route field wiring separately from high-current power conductors where practical. Ground the enclosure and associated wiring according to the applicable electrical installation standard and site grounding practice.
