The ABB NIMP01 is a high-performance termination module designed for use with Bailey INFI 90 and NET90 Distributed Control Systems (DCS). This module facilitates reliable signal connections between field instruments and system electronics, ensuring seamless data flow across process automation platforms. With its passive operation and robust build, the NIMP01 provides dependable signal interfacing and ease of maintenance—making it a vital component in long-standing ABB DCS environments.

The INIPT02 INFI-NET to Plant Loop Transfer Module (through the IMMPI01 Multi-Function Processor Interface Module) can use the NIMP01 and NIMP02 termination module for termination. Jumpers on the NIMP01 module configure the two RS-232-C ports for data terminal equipment (DTE) or data communication equipment (DCE). One of the RS-232-C ports can be configured as an RS-485 port. The NIMP02 module is required when installing redundant IPT modules. Refer to the NIMP01 and NIMP02 instruction for complete information on termination module applications.
