The IS200EDEXG1BAA is an advanced De-Excitation Module (EDEX) developed for GE’s Mark VI turbine and generator control platform. This module provides high-speed controlled discharge of energy from the generator field during emergency shutdowns, system faults, or protective trips.
By using Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCRs) to trigger a crowbar circuit, the IS200EDEXG1BAA rapidly and safely collapses field voltage, ensuring generator and system protection. It is designed for seamless integration with other Mark VI boards such as the IS200EXAMG1A, IS200EGDMH1A, and IS200EPDMG1BAA.
