Product Description

Configured for 4-20 mA signal acquisition in the Honeywell Series 8 I/O system, the Honeywell 8C-PAINA1 51454470-175 (8C-PAINA1 Analog Input Module) provides 16 single-ended analog input channels. The module converts field current signals through a 16-bit A/D converter and transfers process data to the control system.

Process Signal Interface and Diagnostics

The 8C-PAINA1 receives 4-20 mA signals from field transmitters and sensing devices. Each channel uses a 250 ohm input path for current signal conversion. The 16-bit A/D converter provides the digital resolution required for process variable acquisition.

The module scans the input channels at a 50 ms rate. Therefore, the control system can receive updated process values without requiring a separate external signal conversion module.
