The Bently Nevada 3500/25 is an Enhanced Keyphasor Module designed for the 3500 Machinery Protection System. This half-height, two-channel module receives shaft reference signals from magnetic pickups or proximity probes and converts them into digital Keyphasor signals. Furthermore, it provides timing references that allow monitor modules to measure shaft speed, 1X vibration amplitude, and phase.
Functional Description
The 3500/25 detects the Keyphasor mark as it passes the shaft-mounted transducer. It processes the resulting input pulses and distributes digital timing signals to the monitor modules in the 3500 rack.
These signals provide a reference for rotational measurements and vibration analysis. For example, monitor modules and external diagnostic tools can use the Keyphasor signal to determine shaft speed and evaluate 1X vibration amplitude and phase.
