The GM260 is a high-performance grid measurement module developed by Bachmann, designed for the safe, reliable, and fast acquisition of three-phase electrical networks. It enables the simultaneous monitoring of two separate three-phase branches at a common voltage point, delivering online True RMS calculations and harmonic analysis up to the 40th harmonic.

This module is engineered for demanding industrial environments and energy monitoring applications in plants and buildings. It computes active, apparent, and reactive power for each individual phase while utilizing two separate integrated four-quadrant energy counters. The hardware integrates seamlessly into the Bachmann SolutionCenter, allowing operators to access real-time channel values and derived parameters directly through the user interface.

Comprehensive Measurement Capabilities

The unit supports robust voltage measurements with a maximum rated phase-to-phase voltage of 480 VRMS and phase-to-neutral voltage of 277 VRMS, accommodating continuous and short-term overloads safely. For current acquisition, it provides six channels designed for a 1 ARMS current transformer rated current with a measuring range extending up to 1.2 ARMS. Frequency measurements operate within a reference range of 45 Hz to 65 Hz, updating at each positive zero crossing to ensure precise timing intervals of 10 ms for 50 Hz systems and 8.33 ms for 60 Hz systems.
