Product Description
The Yokogawa AAI143-S50/AAS10 is a 16-channel isolated analog input module designed to receive 4-20 mA DC signals from field transmitters. It converts these signals into measurement data for distributed control system processing. Furthermore, each input channel provides electrical isolation from the system side, while the module supports individual 2-wire or 4-wire transmitter configuration.
Input Signal and Channel Configuration
The AAI143 provides 16 isolated current input channels for 4-20 mA DC signals. It accepts signals from field transmitters and updates measurement data at 10 ms intervals. The module also allows each channel to accommodate either a 2-wire or 4-wire transmitter through an individual setting pin.
In addition, the 24 mA allowable input current provides a defined operating limit for connected signal circuits. The input resistance varies with the input current, so it should be considered when checking transmitter loop voltage requirements.
Isolation and Measurement Performance
The module provides 1500 V AC withstand voltage between the input and system circuits for one minute. This isolation helps separate field-side signal circuits from the DCS system circuitry.
Its measurement accuracy is specified as +/-16 uA, with a temperature-related drift of +/-16 uA per 10 deg C. Therefore, these values are useful when evaluating measurement precision and expected signal variation under changing ambient temperatures.
Transmitter Power Supply
The AAI143 provides a power supply for 2-wire transmitters. The available voltage is at least 19.0 V at 20 mA and no more than 25.5 V at 0 mA, with an output current limit of 25 mA.
