Model 4609 Modul Komunikasi Lanjutan (ACM) bertindak sebagai antara muka antara pengawal Tricon dan sistem Foxboro Intelligent Automation (I/A) Series, yang muncul kepada sistem Foxboro sebagai nod keselamatan pada I/A Series Nodebus. ACM berkomunikasi maklumat proses pada kadar data rangkaian penuh untuk digunakan di mana-mana sahaja dalam sistem I/A Series, menghantar semua data aliased Tricon (termasuk pembolehubah sistem dan alias sistem) serta maklumat diagnostik ke stesen kerja operator dalam format paparan yang biasa kepada operator Foxboro. • Membaca/menulis data beralias untuk memenuhi permintaan I/A Series
• Penyelarasan masa dari persekitaran I/A Series
• Membaca diagnostik Tricon untuk paparan oleh stesen kerja I/A Series
• Perlindungan tulis untuk mengunci perubahan pada pengawal Tricon daripada semua sumber I/A Series
• Keupayaan hot-spare untuk komunikasi tanpa henti dengan I/A Series Nodebus
