The ABB PM867K02 (3BSE081638R1) is a redundant, high-integrity processor unit for the AC 800M controller platform. It uses an MPC866 processor operating at 133 MHz to execute control applications, process I/O data and coordinate controller tasks. The unit provides 64 MB of memory, supports redundant CPU configurations and delivers a maximum redundancy switchover time of 10 ms.

Communication and I/O Expansion

The processor supports up to 12 communication modules on the CEX bus, with a maximum supply current of 2.4 A. This bus provides the connection for supported communication modules, allowing the controller to exchange data with external automation devices and networks.

For I/O expansion, the Modulebus supports up to 96 I/O modules with a single PM867 processor or 84 I/O modules in a redundant PM867 configuration.
