The 3500/40 module processes eddy-current probe signals from Bently Nevada proximity transducers and converts dynamic shaft movement into monitored vibration and position parameters. Therefore, the module applies probe scaling functions to maintain measurement accuracy across configured channels.

The monitor supports gap voltage validation with typical -10 VDC probe gap targets during system setup. In addition, it processes rotor dynamics parameters including 1X amplitude, 1X phase lag, 2X amplitude, 2X phase lag, and Smax amplitude for rotating equipment analysis.

The module also provides buffered transducer outputs and signal conditioning functions. As a result, operators and diagnostic software can access conditioned vibration data without affecting the primary protection circuit.
