Il Modulo di Comunicazione Triconex 4354 (TCM) è un'interfaccia di rete ad alte prestazioni progettata per collegare i controller di sicurezza Triconex Tricon™ a sistemi esterni e reti di comunicazione. I modelli TCM 4354 hanno un server OPC integrato su NET 2, che consente fino a 10 client OPC di sottoscrivere i dati raccolti dal server OPC. Il server OPC integrato supporta lo standard Data Access 2.05 e lo standard Alarms and Events 1.10. Ogni TCM contiene due porte di rete—NET 1 e NET 2. Nei modelli TCM 4354, NET 2 supporta solo il server OPC integrato, TriStation e i protocolli SNTP, mentre NET 1 supporta tutti i protocolli elencati tranne il server OPC integrato.

Un singolo sistema Tricon supporta un massimo di quattro TCM, che devono risiedere in due slot logici. Modelli diversi di TCM non possono essere mescolati in uno slot logico. Ogni sistema Tricon supporta un totale di 32 master o slave Modbus—questo totale include porte di rete e seriali. La funzione hot-spare non è disponibile per il TCM, anche se è possibile sostituire un TCM guasto mentre il controller è online.
