Il Modulo di Uscita Discreta FBM242 P0916NG contiene 16 canali di uscita discreti, alimentati esternamente, con una portata fino a 2 A a 60 V CC. Le relative unità di terminazione (TA) consentono uscite discrete verso carichi da 2 A a 60 V CC, uscite a relè (120 V CA/125 V CC, o 240 V CA), o uscite a relè con distribuzione di potenza e fusibili. Ogni uscita è completamente isolata dagli altri canali e dalla massa. Il modulo interfaccia i segnali di uscita elettrici da un processore di controllo ai dispositivi sul campo. Esegue un programma applicativo di I/O digitale, con supporto per logica a scala, e fornisce un'opzione di Configurazione Fail-Safe per le uscite.
