Pengontrol F31 02 yang terkait dengan keselamatan adalah sistem kompak yang terletak di dalam wadah logam dengan 20 input digital dan 8 output digital. Pengontrol tersedia dalam varian model untuk SILworX dan varian model untuk Pabrik ELOP II, lihat Bab 3.2. Semua varian dijelaskan dalam manual ini. Perangkat ini cocok untuk dipasang di Ex-zone 2, lihat Bab 4.1.3. Perangkat ini telah disertifikasi oleh TÜV untuk aplikasi terkait keselamatan hingga SIL 3
(IEC 61508, IEC 61511 dan IEC 62061), Kat. 4 (EN 954-1) dan PL e (EN ISO 13849-1)

Pengontrol dilengkapi dengan 20 input digital. Status (TINGGI, RENDAH) dari setiap masukan adalah
ditandai oleh LED individual. Kontak mekanis tanpa catu daya atau sumber daya sinyal dapat dihubungkan ke input. Kontak mekanis bebas potensial tanpa catu daya sendiri disalurkan melalui sumber daya 24 V (LS+) tahan arus pendek internal. Masing-masing dari mereka memasok sekelompok 4 kontak mekanis. Gambar 1 menunjukkan bagaimana koneksi dilakukan. Dengan sumber tegangan sinyal, ground yang sesuai harus dihubungkan ke input (L-).

Untuk perkabelan eksternal dan sambungan sensor, terapkan de-energized-to-trip
prinsip. Jadi, jika terjadi kesalahan, sinyal input mengadopsi keadaan aman dan tidak berenergi (rendah
tingkat). Jika kabel eksternal tidak dipantau, sirkuit terbuka dianggap sebagai level rendah yang aman.
