Product Description

The Honeywell TK-FPCXX2 is an AC power supply designed to provide regulated DC power to the system backplane. It accepts selectable 120/240 VAC input ranges and supplies multiple DC output rails for connected control hardware. Its maximum total output is 70 W at 60 deg C, with specified current limits for the 1.2 V, 3.3 V, 5.1 V, and 24.0 V backplane supplies.

Input Power and Output Distribution

The power supply supports two selectable AC input ranges. The selected range must match the incoming supply voltage. Its 47-63 Hz frequency range accommodates the specified AC input frequencies, while the 15 A maximum inrush current is relevant when evaluating upstream circuit protection and power-up conditions.

The unit provides four DC backplane output rails. Each rail has its own maximum current rating; however, the total output power must also remain within the 70 W limit at 60 deg C. Therefore, the individual current ratings should not be interpreted as permission to draw every rail at its maximum simultaneously.

Chassis Installation and Fuse Protection

The TK-FPCXX2 installs on the left side of the chassis and does not occupy a standard module slot. This arrangement preserves the chassis slots for other system modules. The specified wiring size is #14 AWG, and the unit uses a soldered, non-replaceable fuse. If the fuse opens, do not treat it as a field-replaceable component.
