Le module de communication intelligent amélioré (EICM) Triconex 4119A est un module de communication hautes performances qui permet aux contrôleurs Triconex de communiquer avec les maîtres et esclaves Modbus, la TriStation 1131 et les imprimantes. Il dispose de quatre ports série et d’un port parallèle, qui peuvent tous fonctionner simultanément. Les ports série peuvent être configurés en tant que maîtres Modbus avec jusqu'à sept maîtres Modbus par châssis Triconex. Le port parallèle fournit une interface Centronics à une imprimante.

Le 4119A prend en charge une variété de protocoles de communication, notamment Modbus RTU et ASCII, TriStation et Modbus TCP/IP. Il prend également en charge diverses fonctionnalités de communication, telles que les indicateurs de diagnostic, le mode pass-through et le mode bouclage.
