The TSXP57453AM is a double-format PL7 processor for the Schneider Electric Modicon Premium automation platform. It executes PLC application programs and manages distributed and local I/O, process control channels, and communication modules. Furthermore, it supports Fipio, serial communication, and multiple fieldbus interfaces, making it suitable for complex control configurations requiring extensive I/O capacity and application memory.

Processor and I/O Capacity

The TSXP57453AM supports up to 16 racks with different slot configurations. Its processor capacity accommodates discrete and analog I/O, as well as application-specific and process control channels. In addition, it supports up to 60 simple process control loops, depending on the application configuration.

The processor provides the following control capacities:

• Up to 2,040 discrete I/O points.
• Up to 256 analog I/O points.
• Up to 64 application-specific channels.
• 20 process control channels, supporting up to 60 simple loops.

Communication Interfaces

The processor includes an integrated Fipio manager that supports up to 127 agents through a 9-pin SUB-D connector. It also provides two non-isolated serial links with female mini-DIN connectors, supporting communication speeds of 19.2 or 115 kbit/s.

Furthermore, the processor supports additional communication modules for fieldbus and network connectivity. The available module capacity depends on the selected communication configuration, particularly when CANopen is in use.

Memory and Application Execution

The TSXP57453AM provides internal RAM and optional PCMCIA memory for application programs and data storage. Without a PCMCIA card, internal RAM provides 96 Kwords for programs and data. With a PCMCIA card, the internal data capacity is 176 Kwords, while the card adds separate storage for programs and additional data.

The processor supports three application task types: one master task, one fast task, and up to 64 event tasks. Its execution time varies by instruction type, with Boolean operations taking 0.06 microseconds and floating-point operations taking 1.7 microseconds.
