Product Description

The DS200TCPDG2B is a Power Distribution Module developed by General Electric (GE) for the Mark VI control system. It distributes 125 VDC power to control and I/O cores, including their associated TCPS and TCEA boards. Furthermore, it provides individual power switches for selected cores, allowing maintenance personnel to control power distribution at the board level.

Power Distribution Function

The TCPD board distributes 125 VDC power from the power distribution section (PD) to several parts of the Mark VI control system. These include:

• TCPS boards in each I/O core.
• The Control Engine core.
• TCEA boards in the P1 core.
• DTBC and DTBD terminal boards in the digital I/O cores, including solenoid output power.
• The CTBA terminal board in the R5 core, which monitors PD power output.

In addition, the TCPD board supplies 120/240 VAC power to the ignition transformers connected to the DTBC terminal board.

The digital I/O cores Q11, Q21, and Q51 do not receive power directly from PD. Instead, their associated I/O cores provide their power.

Hardware Configuration

The DS200TCPDG2B includes a BJS hardware jumper for systems using an external reference.

When the BJS jumper is inserted, it provides a ground reference for the external reference system. This jumper therefore affects the ground-reference arrangement and should be checked against the installed system configuration.

The board does not require software configuration.
