Avtobus qoşulma modulu RER 103 RE_ 500 cihazı və fiber-optik SPA, LON® və IEC 60870-5-103 avtobusu arasında əlaqə vahidi kimi çıxış edir. Avtobus qoşulma modulu SPA, LON® və IEC_103 avtobusundan daxil olan optik siqnalları RE_ 500 cihazları üçün elektrik RS-485 siqnallarına və əksinə çevirir. Modul RE_500 cihazının arxa lövhəsində RS-485 D tipli subminiatür birləşdiriciyə qoşulmuşdur. O, 9 pinli D tipli birləşdirici ilə təchiz edilmiş istənilən RE_500 cihazı ilə birlikdə istifadə edilə bilər. Avtobus qoşulma modulu RE_500 cihazının D tipli konnektorundan qidalanır.

RER 103 Avtobus Bağlantı Modulu Döngü və Ulduz tipli avtobus topologiyalarında istifadə edilə bilər. Həmçinin modulun xətt boş vəziyyəti seçilə bilər. İşıqlı və ya söndürülə bilər. Loop/Ulduz və işığın yandırılması/söndürülməsi keçidlər tərəfindən həyata keçirilir. Döngü topologiyasında RER 103 modulu fiberoptik interfeysdən alınan mesajı həm fiber-optik ötürücüyə, həm də RS-485 interfeysinə ötürür. Ulduz topologiyasında modul fiber-optik qəbuledicidən alınan mesajı yalnız RS-485 interfeysinə ötürür. RS-485 interfeysindən alınan mesaj hər iki avtobus topologiyasında fiber-optik ötürücüyə ötürülür. SPA avtobus rabitəsi, modul keçidləri Döngü və işıq sönən mövqelərdə olduqda Loop və işıq söndürmə rejimlərindən istifadə edir. LON® avtobus rabitəsi modul keçidləri Ulduz və işıq sönən mövqelərdə olduqda Ulduz və işığı söndürmə rejimlərindən istifadə edir. IEC_103 avtobus rabitəsi modul keçidləri Ulduz vəziyyətində olduqda və işıq yandırılıb və ya söndürüldükdə Ulduz və işığı yandırmaq və ya söndürmək rejimlərindən istifadə edir.
