Die MiCOM P54A/B/C/E-reeks is ontwerp vir oorhoofse lyn- en kabeltoepassings tot 6 terminale, wat maklik met die longitudinale (end-tot-end) kommunikasiekanaal tussen lynterminale inskakel. Voorheen sou transmissie- en verspreidingskringe slegs twee of drie punte hê, terwyl vyf of meer punte algemeen word om hernubare opwekking aan te sluit. Alle modelle is gereed vir beskermingstopologieë wat wissel van twee tot ses terminale, of daardie multi-terminale nou bestaan, of voorsien word vir verbinding in die toekoms.
