Die Hydran M2 is 'n kompakte, permanent gemonteerde aanlyn-transformatormoniteringstoestel wat personeel sal waarsku teen ontwikkelende fouttoestande. Dit moniteer deurlopend 'n saamgestelde waarde van verskeie foutgasse (in dpm) of 'n slegs waterstofgaswaarde (na gelang van die sensor wat gekoop is). Daarbenewens volg dit vog in olie (lees in %RH en dpm).

Met bykomende sensors bygevoeg, kan die Hydran M2 ook transformator wiskundige modelle bereken gebaseer op IEEE® en IEC® standaarde om verdere inligting oor die werkverrigting van die transformator te verskaf.
